The company:

The client is one of the 4 largest banking groups in China. The i-bank arm is hiring a helpdesk support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day first line end-user support
  • Participate in helpdesk/infrastructure projects and implementation work
  • Assist in negotiation with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors on pricing and requirement
  • Pro-actively monitor and review infrastructure components and provide performance statistics and reports
  • Assist in keep tracking IT assets with proper inventory control on record keeping, maintenance and related documentation
  • Monitor computer operation (system and network) and be able to identify and react to failures
  • Liaise with customers to diagnose and report on problems
  • Required to work outside office hours if needed, although not on regular basis

Experience/Knowledge:

  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years working experience in Information Technology areas
  • Knowledge and experience in first-line user and technical support with strong skill in trouble-shooting and soft-skill in handling users a must
  • Working experience in financial service industry (preferably in investment banks, securities houses, brokerage firm) a definite advantage
  • Knowledge and experience in using Windows desktop and domain administration, Blackberry (Enterprise Server), Inventory Management System, McAfee DLP & antivirus preferred
  • Good understanding of trading and market data facilities such as Bloomberg, AAStocks, ET-Net, etc. an added advantage
  • Knowledge and experience in email system especially Lotus Notes an added advantage
  • Ability to manage disparate demands from multiple customers
  • Ability to work with geographically diverse work force
  • Meticulous and methodical in creating solutions with strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese with fluency in Mandarin; knowledge of Simplified Chinese a plus
