The Company

Our client is a top-tier Insurance Company. They are looking for a seasoned Business Analyst with previous Business Analysis experience in Insurance Operation, Actuarial/ Accounting function to work on an IFRS17 project (previous experience in IFRS17 is an advantage but not mandatory).

Applicants are expected to have at least 7 years of Business Analysis experience in Insurance field.

The Role

As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Provide business analysis service and/or process review to support business initiatives/product implementation/project execution and/or operations production system related issues
  • Collect, analyse and document business needs and requirements from actuarial users for IFRS17 risk calculation
  • Clearly identify detail requirements for IT development team and to drive deployment of vendor solution in both on-premises and cloud infrastructure
  • Review IT documents to ensure alignment of understanding of requirements between business end users and IT
  • Conduct feasibility study and/or gap analysis
  • Evaluate solution in terms of cost, timeline and quality (fit-for purpose)
  • Execute user acceptance testing including test planning, test case preparation/creation and execution
  • Prepare training materials and conduct training to end users
  • Conduct deployment verification test and implementation verification test
  • Provide post implementation support to end user immediately after system enhancement
  • Assist in project coordination and administrative tasks on needed basis

Your Profile

  • Degree qualified, preferably in Business, IT, Operations Management or related disciplines
  • At least 7 years of business analysis experience in Insurance field
  • Previous Agile project experience is a must
  • In-depth knowledge in Insurance Operation, preferably in Actuarial function or Accounting function
  • Previous experience in global projects
  • Previous work experience OR knowledge in IFRS17 is an advantage but not mandatory
  • Proven track record in specifying user requirements and managing User Acceptance Testing
  • Previous project management experience will be an advantage
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills along with being organized, structured, assertive are required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skill
  • Good command of spoken and written Chinese and English
